From there the forest protection committee will issue an entry pass. The journey to the other side is through a bamboo raft. Plastic is completely banned here. There is also a directive to strictly follow forest rules. Kuruva can be reached via Mananthavady, Katikkulam, Koileri Payyambally, and Pulpally Chekkady. From June to September, there is no access to visitors. The tourist center wakes up after the rains.15 km from Mananthavady Tourists can reach Kuruva via Kattikulam Paal Velicham. It is about 40 km from Kuruva, the headquarters of Wayanad.
It can also be reached via the Panamaram Punchavayal Neervaram Dasanakara Kurukkanmoola. If you travel 12 km through Pulpally, you can reach Kuruva via Paakkam Cherimala. Kuruva is located at a distance of 58 km from Bathery.
Those coming from Kozhikode can reach Kuruva via Kalpetta Mananthavady. Those who come from Karnataka can reach this place through the Tholpetty and Bathery Pulpally. Kuruva Island is located under South Wayanad Forest Division. The DTPC provides boat service to the destination. Destination management is ready to advise travelers.
